Amazon Cooking from Amazon
The cuisine of the Amazon in Brazil among others, was one of the most preserved their indigenous origins, with little Portuguese and African influence. It is considered one of the most exotic country.1
As a region of large rivers, the Amazonian cuisine appreciates quite a few fish like peacock pirarucu.2 is common and also the consumption of meat tartaruga.3
Many regional dishes are accompanied by mush, a kind of mass cassava flour that is cooked in fish broth.
The Amazon is also unique for many fruits, some completely unknown in other parts of Brazil. Cupuassu are used, tucumã, the peach palm and acai (which today can be found in cities across the country and has worldwide fame), among many other exotic fruits.
